Designed to approach a rotating part from the cross-slide, tangential heads are the only means of thread-rolling behind the shoulder or into the undercut, as close as 1 x pitch of the shoulder face. Consequently they are an indispensable tool in the production of fluid fittings, air fittings and hydraulic connectors, as well as a wide variety of automotive components. Both RH and LH threads can be produced with the same head, regardless of the spindle's rotational direction, simply by utilising the appropriate rolls.

Our RT10 ,RT20 and RT30 tangential heads have been designed to be compatible with Fette style T12, T18 and T27 heads that have been widely used throughout industry for over 4 decades; this means that our rolls can be interchanged between both systems and allows us to serve over 90% of the tangential roll market with our comprehensive roll-production programme. Customers already using T12, T18 or T27 heads are thus assured that they can rely on our heads and rolls to provide a secure, complimentary and extremely competitive service.

Whilst the RT tangential head range is limited to only 3 models, it should be noted that each head requires a bespoke holder to suit any given machine's turret or cross slide, so full machine data should be supplied for every enquiry placed for this system.
